This is cruel, but I've seen cows at American universities' ag departments that had "portholes" cut into their sides so the stomach action could be observed. When not being studied the cows were out in the pastures with big rubber plugs in their side. Maybe that procedure doesn't hurt the cows the way the bile collection from bears does.
I can't rep you anymore, but agree with you.
I also fear we in the West are conforming more to Eastern values than influencing them with Western vaules.
Lol...
You do know that not eating ANY animal is an eastern value, right?
Or does your sympathy stop at the dinner plate?
1. this fluid they get from the bears is for medical reasons, it helps people.
2. what is the difference between this and American scientists torturing apes and keeping them confined for medical experiments.
i saw a vid in my drivers ed class in 98 or 99 explaining how damaging an accident is in slow motion. that video showed a strapped up ape flying into a brick wall at 80 miles an hour.
so before we get all high and mighty and talk about the barbaric chinese, look here at home in america with what they are doing to other animals.
its not pretty
No, bear bile does not remove heat. Heat is removed by an equalization process like evaporation and condensation.
Actually those are but 2 methods of removing heat, there are several others.
They're not likely to be shooting lasers through the particles of people to cool them down.
