"(Reuters) - Most U.S. and foreign corporations doing business in the United States avoid paying any federal income taxes, despite trillions of dollars worth of sales, a government study released on Tuesday said."

So right wingers like tea partiers whine and complain that someone making $8 an hour is not paying taxes, yet they say nothing about "someone" who makes trillions of dollars and pays no taxes.

Hypocrisy??

Study says most corporations pay no U.S. income taxes | Reuters

well they say that when you tax corporations, it ends up costing the consumer.

and that's somewhat true, but i suppose it never occured to them that it's a moot point -- you're also costing the consumer when you tax individuals. Taxation is a zero-sum game, there is no reason to let corporations "win" over individuals. It doesn't create jobs, it doesn't do anything but affect the balance of power between the two groups.

Corporate taxes is also DOUBLE taxation. If profit is taxed at the corporation level and then taxed again as dividends, that's double taxation, which should be illegal.

we do

I complain all the time that unions dont pay any taxes...unions are corporations

I dont feel ANY organization should be tax exempt...to include churches

and most corps do pay taxes..but since the globalist liberals have push the 'transnational' organizations..they get breaks in the USA for taxes they paid to OTHER countries

it like exxon..the paid 15 billion in USA taxes (but was able to deduct 10) for a total of 5 billion...why becauise they paid over 20 billion in foreign taxes

So most corporations make no profit, because according the the article they paid zero in taxes. If they made trillions in sales, chances are they made billions in profits.

That is so typical of liberals. They know so very little. Have no basis for creating intelligent opinions, have terrible judgement, yet think they should be Masters of the Universe.

A dog makes better decisions than the average liberal.

The profit margin for the average corp is about 5 to 7%. So figure whatever "revenue" figure is cited, multiply it by .05, and that is their profit.

Multiply that by trillions and you have a nice sum. Yet these corporations paid ZERO in taxes.

Because...............Taxes are passed on to the Consumer........the only real difference in the entire scenario IS....who controls where and how the monies are applied...the BIG corrupt inbred governments OR the paragon of free enterprise the corporations! You the consumer can vote for or against the corporation. Either purchase their product or service or not. That will determine if they survive. When was the last time you were allowed to determine weather or not to pay Fed, State, Sales, Property etc. TAXES?
