1 or 2 automatically get A's no matter what they do?

Where did that come from? Let's bring this back to reality, where the vast majority of the wealthy worked harder and were smarter and more responsible with their time and money than the rest of us.

Meritocracy my ass! This country is dominated by wealthy elite that inherited most of the money. More importantly they inherited the social connections needed to retain their wealth and obtain more.

Ivy League schools are notorious for the "Gentleman's C". How else do you think such academic wonders like Teddy K and the Shrub managed to get a degree in anything but drinking and fornication? This is already a form of "grade redistribution". The rich FU's are taking up space better used by a genius from a poor background.

You make that sound like a bad thing.

As someone who is in grad school at one of the top rated business schools in the country, I guarentee a few things:

1) professors have no clue who comes from money and who doesn't. In fact, most professors don't even bother to ever learn students' names. I have a classmate whose family has eight live-in people for hired help (cook, maid, driver, etc). Only one professor so far even knew his first name. How is he getting special treatment if no one knows who he is?
2) professors are more than comfortable failing anyone
3) many people have an amazing ability to get by on 4-5 hours sleep, letting them party, drink and still get more done in a day than you or I
4) According to a study done by the Spectrem Group , only 2% of the total wealth of modern day millionaires was inherited.

Is that 2% what you meant when you said they 'inherit most of their money'? Or are you just making excuses for why other people are more successful than you? But hey, I guess anger feels better than factual information. I smell jealousy...

Of course they do.

A doctor will have far smarter kids than say a janitor.

Their peer will be better and much better support than a janitor. What does a janitor know about money?

A "genius from a poor background" can certainly get a privately funded scholarship, attend a good university, get straight A's, graduate, work and make lots of money, enjoying a wonderful life, IF he/she chooses to work hard and apply him/herself, assuming that person's intellectual wealth has not been spread around, whereby some of their A's turn into B's, C's, & D's so that other students who did not earn the good grades could still get a good grade; and assuming that person, who started out poor and earned their millions didn't have over half of it taken away in taxes in order to continue to support other people who didn't work so hard.

This is America. Started as the land of opportunity. Time to return to that idea.

Poor argument. They may not inherit the GPA, but they do have advantages. Born into wealth, translating into better schools, tutors, and better programs. Born into a family that can afford better schools. Families that value education. Not having to work while they attend school.

Only libs would think that this experiment is somehow different.
