Well, since he seems to think the office he wants to run for is that of National High Priest, it's not surprising that he's a bit fuzzy on earthly matters.

I hate to break it to you Matt, but a Metro area is not a city. By your logic, the New York Metropolitan area, means Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York State are all part of New York City.

Not to mention, El Paso is no where near the most dangerous city in the US. That would go to something like New Orleans or St. Louis or Detroit.

Time Magazine apparently disagrees with the dodgers who claim "America" refers to North and South America. As do other news sources.

When people in the United States say "America" or "Americans" they mean the United States. They are synonymous. Go read any foreign newspaper. When they are referring to us, they call us "Americans". When Muslims cheer, "Death to America", do you seriously think they are talking about Mexico, or Brazil, or Venezuela, or Argentina in their violent cries?

Most Americans don't even know where Iraq, Iran, or Israel are on a map, let alone Juarez. Geez you people will stoop to any level of stupidity to defend moron candidates.

None of what you're posting matters in any way, what Rick Perry said was 100% correct and you can't blame educated people for pointing out that you're wrong. Maybe some of you should invest in a globe or something.

Do you have evidence that what he said is correct? Most sources claim Caracas or Bogota are the most dangerous in the world. So even looking at all of the Americas, he's still wrong.

Mexicos problem becomes our problem at those border cities.

You could practically throw a rock from El Paso & hit Jaurez. That's how close they are.

Either that or he's playing mind games with you Liberals.
So he can see Jaurez from Texas?

The defense of Perry's mistake with excuses like "but it's in the Americas" or "it shares a metropolitan area with a US city" are similar to the silly excuses for Palin's "bells a'ringin', guns a'shootin', Brits a'warnin'" Revere fiction.

Read the thread title, Juarez is in America. Rick Perry was correct and the OP was sadly wrong.

Sure he can, I'm sure he can smell it too... all while both places are in America.
