Corporate America does whatever is good for corporate America. Were it legal in a corporations interest to commit crimes en masse then they would do so.
It's the role of government to put limitations on corporations. Companies do whatever makes them money. There's no need to thank or despise them, just a need to understand the system. Unfortunately, the country is largely full of people who spend too much time watching Springer and at church and too little time reading and going to school.
If these people were given jobs, they wouldn't really have a purpose or the time to riot.

People were just now given an excuse to riot.
Kinda like how Hurricane Katrina brought out the true nature/side of folks....and they weren't breaking in to stores looking for water and food, they were looking for tv's and DVD players (that they had no power to use) and jewelry, alchohol/clothing/shoes.
