Thats disappointing, actually. To keep sane I have had to not watch CNN since the debt-ceiling histrionics, I just read this forum while writing
tv news is off limits, except fstv for 15 minutes a day.
I wonder if you know why FSTV has been taken from DishNet. I used to watch about 15 minutes a day one day a week just to be sure that I could still take it but haven't watched it for months and can't find it there any more.
Do you find many people here who write like those people on FSTV? Have you ever heard one conservative there. I never did, but I didn't watch it much.
FYI, the memorial site was opened to the public yesterday, will be closed the next couple of days, and then have an official dedication ceremony on Sunday, at which the Obamas will attend.

Actually its mostly fact, you should watch. I cannot stomach any celeb trash media channels though I pay for the package, about 40 that I never watch. hln and cnn are a laughable cross-section of everything wrong. I would get directtv.

Also Obummers will be doing lots of apparent snubbing of the black vote over the next 15 months. Its a ploy to gain ground on the center. Its the center voting block in this country that elects Presidents. All the apparent outrage by Maxine Waters and her ilk of the Congressional Black Caucus is a ploy. They are doing this to present Obummers as a Center-Left candidate to appeal to all those stupid white center-left soccer moms and Independents. Don't be fooled.

I have always wanted to tell you my Monterey story and this thread may be a good place.
While I was in basic training at Ft. Ord my best buddy, a black kid who liked to be called Tex, (he was from Oregon) and I went in to Monterey the first Saturday night we got a pass. When we went into a hotel to get a room the desk man said I have a room for you but not him. After telling him where to put his room I dragged Joe, his real name, out of the place and we went back to the post for the night. I was from Kansas and although we had special places for blacks in public I had never heard anything like that, anywhere. Who would have thunk it? In California and especially Monterey. I still don't believe that. I hope Monterey is better now than it was then.
