We can expect one of two things to occur on this thread:
1) Liberals will support this as part of their larger "Globalize/Kill America Agenda"
-or-
2) Ignore the thread altogether because it paints yet another picture of this President colluding with GE to destroy the American economy at the behest of "Transforming America"
Now I am confused. One day the government is suppose to get out of the way of corporations and the next day the government is suppose to try and stop the free flow of capital. Are for the "free market" or are we against it. I'm asking because it is getting damned near impossible to keep track of the spinning web of arguments, which is perhaps why "liberals" don't bother entering the debate.
Washington D.C. is brought and paid for. It doesn't really matter who is in the White House. Corporate America has brought the White House and both Houses of Congress.
This is a capitalist entity behaving rationally in a global resource market. Labor in China is skilled enough to do the job, and they can work for a fraction of the US cost. Why wouldn't they go where the cheapest labor is? I thought we were pro business around here.
But we're acting like we have no idea how to run our business or how to compete. That stuff just comes natural to business people.
I am 100% for free enterprise, but our government should stop picking winners and losers.
Boeing building in SC, not okay.
GE trading secrets with China, okay.
Back in the day Alphamale Clinton helped China with the defunked North American plant with 25 year old technology we the tax payer help develop closed the gap in research and development. Now they are very active in space and their aerospace programs motto is "We will rule the world".
let them roll their own. That would be interesting to watch. The Chinese are quite able to innovate but their results are usuall different form the west.
