Nope. MOST Mexicans NEVER had people who lived in what is now the US before 1492. Too IF the Aztecs TRIED to cross the Rio Grande; the Apaches and so would've killed them 1st. Apaches don't play nice.

I think you'll find that most people agree with you. Special "nations" and untaxed, privilaged "reservations" with special rights for a small racial group is wrong. It's long past time to accept that native Americans are as capable and responsible as any other racial groups and treat them that way. It's 2014, not 1814.
