Blaming the tea party makes sense. They're loud-mouthed jerks who think they know everything. Plus they are the most disliked political group in the country.
Bolded part: Aren't all ideologues like this?
Republicans have bad ideas...democrats have no ideas, so they blame people/groups when they fall on their face.
Since over 98 percent of those calling themselves Tea Partiers voted for Bush, why don't we just blame the folks who vote for these fools?
Source?
I voted for Browne in 2000, and Badnarik in 2004. 2008 Was the first time I've ever voted for a Republican presidential candidate.
You're saying that I represent less than 2% of the people that make up the Tea Party movement? You're sadly, sadly mistaken, but if you can provide a source for your 98+% claim, I'd be interested to see it.
That is baloney and you know it. The TP'ers in congress were the only ones to put forth a plan that met S&P's suggestions and President Obama promised to veto it if it came to his desk.
Bull, the tea party plan was nothing but massive cuts to medicare and medicaid, all but destroying them along with social security and other attacks on seniors. It would take almost 20 years for these cuts to even substantiate. It was so wildly unpopular and radical the republicans had to shoot it down.
S&P made it clear the reason for the downgrade was because the republicans and especially the tea party were being a bunch of babies that wouldn't cut a penny from the handouts to the rich, which the democrats proposed.

Excuse me. You're right. I'm sure some Tea Partiers voted for John Taylor Bowles and other third party candidates. Those who voted for a mainstream candidate voted for Bush though.
