What do you think of job sharing to fix he unemployment problem? Do you think it would work in this country?

How about I give two people a part time job and bypass having to give them any benefits?

I don't see how this would be accomplished unless you forced full time workers to give up half of their time and therefore pay?

Don't you think it might create more problems than it solves? Depriving full-time workers of full-time work doesn't sound like much of a solution to me. (I think they call that 'robbing Peter to pay Paul.')

9 percent unemployment wouldn't be as harmful if everyone were unemployed for 9% of the year. In fact it would give some a well-deserved vacation. Of course Construction has an unemployment rate over 20 percent which is like being out of a job over two months a year.
