Women are not as severely repressed by fundamentalist Christians but they are not by any means completely free to make their own decisions concerning their own bodies or lives. At their core both Islam and Christianity consider women to be the property of their fathers or husbands.
The only reason that women have any rights in the US is thanks to the influence of liberals. If it were up to Christian religious nutjobs we would all be barefoot and pregnant.
And not allowed to work (well except maybe with permission of the father or husband).
And not allowed to vote.
And not allowed to own property.
Wasn't it just over a hundred years ago that women in the US were expected to dress so as to cover themselves from head to toe?

Who told you that in Christianity woman are the property of fathers and husbands? The word of God does not say that.. Jesus liberated the woman.. As any good father would want, is the best for their children. what does liberals have to offer?
As I said it is a choice. Everyone has been given a free will and they can exercise it as they choose.
Basically everyone believes something and if they are not a Christian in America , one usually believes in humanism.
As far as anyone on Social Security today... maybe if they choose not to go onto Social Security,, the government should give back the money they put into the system with interest included. Otherwise they have every right to collect for what they put into it.
Foodstamps , welfare, medicaid are all handouts and no one put their money into it.. attack those freebees...
I am referring to their support of radical Islamists groups in the Middle East. Lefties believe (or so they say) in democracy, tolerance, diversity, love, peace and non-violence. But these Islamists groups only want terror, violence, and sharia. On the other hand, they have so much hatred for Israel. Israel is not perfect but they are the closest to a peace loving democracy in the Middle East.

First of all, that's nonsense. I don't know anyone other than radical Islamists who support radical Islam.
Liberals DO have a tendency to adhere to Enlightenment principles such as free speech. This is right in line with the oft-misattributed quote (it wasn't Voltaire) of "I don't agree with what you say, but I defend your right to say it."
Sadly this is a concept that seems beyond the comprehension of simplistic thinking right wing extremists, as well as left-wing extremists.
