In the way of what? Eating a probably-substandard catered dinner and engaging in superficial chit-chat? They can do that at home... no need to travel hundreds of miles.

I don't see the part where it says this is a charity event to help sick children. Why exactly do they need to be there?

The question is, if a different President extended such an invitation, do you think they would have accepted?

James Harrison (a black man) didn't show up to the white house when the pittsburg steelers went. So that means nothing.

Maybe. Maybe not.

The question is, why shouldn't a person flat out reject any invitation from a person they disagree with, if they feel so inclined?

They should go meet this man simply because he is "The President," as that article so disgustingly implies (a not uncommon sentiment found on all sides of the political spectrum)?

I guess royalty (and the royalty worship that often goes along with it) really does exist in this country, despite our lack of Royals. I guess there are people out there who believe that we should be honored to meet people not because of the content of their character (which includes all the things they believe - and all the actions they have taken), but merely because that person has some mere title (be it royalty or otherwise) that people are supposed to intrinsically respect.

**symbolically spits on the Office of the Presidency**

F politicians and any respect they (or anyone else who kisses their butt) think they are "owed" (more entitlement mentality... surprise, surprise), by virtue of their Office or Title.

Why doesn't The 0'bama just show up at the next NASCAR event to do his honor thing. It's easier to schedule one man than to re-schedule a dozen men... unless, of course, it's the Dirty Dozen.

Don't any of the previous nimrods realize, there is a race that weekend in Richmond. They need to prepare for the race.

It's their LIVELIHOOD.

Do you think Obama won't campaign the last week of an election? Why would you ask these people to risk their livelihood and possibly lose a race?

Losers don't make money, winners do, and they need to be at the race track running trials, getting the cars ready, racing for starting positions.

Get off this kick they don't like Obama, whether they do or don't, they have a LIVING to make!

Get a grip or a rabies shot.
