President Barack Obama will honor NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson and the 11 other Chase drivers from last year in a White House ceremony on Wednesday – but nearly half of the 2010 playoff contenders won't be there.
NASCAR said Thursday that five drivers – Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart – will not be attending the White House visit due to "schedule conflicts."
They must be very busy people!
With Jimmie Johnson in the room, does anyone
really care. Plenty of things to cry "foul" re: Obama/
this isn't one of them.
If you know anything about NASCAR you know these guys are booked up these guys have responsibilities to their sponsors, a visit to the president wont make them any money. It's not a big deal and means nothing.
Not only that, but their popularity with their redneck fan base will plummet.
More name calling from the liberals (redneck). Is this all you people have left now? Not a one of you seems capable of intelligent or reasonable discourse. It's just putdowns and name calling.

Agreed, its all about their fan base. This would never happen in bballl, football, baseball or hockey. NASCAR has a very distinct fan base, probably 90 percent republican voters.
