Black Unemployment: Highest in 27 Years!

Unemployment among black men is 19.1% compared to 14.5% for black women.

What's the 'real' reason black unemployment is so high?

A multitude of reasons, but you can be rest assured the black community is mostly gonna vote for a Democrat anyway. That's why Obama can ignore them all he wants, and he'll still have their support. Especially because many blacks that haven't voted before voted for Obama because he's black

So voting for Ron Paul, Perry or Romney will decrease the rate of Unemployed Black men? Everytime I see these types of threads it brings me back to my question. Are you NOW saying that you believe in Affirmative action and believe that the 19% unemployed Black men should get preferential treatment over Whites? You can't have it both ways.

I believe the question on the high rate should be posed to those who are unemployed as well as Corporate America and Small Businesses. Why are they not hiring black men.

$1,000 this turns into a racist, black people bashing thread. As an african american (employed, with two jobs), I can't wait to read these lovely posts.

Why are you putting words in my mouth? Did I mention any of the above people? No, I did not

You do know what a question mark indicates at the end of a sentence, correct? I mean, where did I indicate in my post where I claimed you said anything? Oh by the way, the above were questions because they were followed by a "?"

9.1% overall. Huge difference when black men are at 19.1% and 14.5% for black women.
