All of the military and intelligence people have praised his decision to make the call. One general said it was a "very gutsy" call on the President's part. That makes me proud today. I think many others, including GWB and McCain, would have been afraid of the political fallout.
I agree 100% however many people would argue that it was a political move to boost his acceptance rate... As for bush... well I have my own opinions about that.
He said he would and he kept his word. That's a lot more than I could say for anyone else.
Absolutley, more then you can say for a LONG list of people, and considering the way he came into office/ under the circumstances he came into office you got all he could give I hgive him credit for that too.
now i am prepared to hear it from those who disapprove of obama

It was the only call and any president in the history of the US would have done the same thing.
He just reaped the benefit of a process that started ten years ago by Bush. The only thing he can be credited for is giving the Seals the OK to take him out. Any sitting President given the odds that he had would have done the same thing.
You've been contemplating starting this thread for what? Four months or so?
To answer someone else-Carter would have likely had the SEALs stand down or would have sent them in with inadequate planning or equipment (Desert One anyone?). Clinton would have hesitated and consulted polling data.
