It was never intended that the citizenry have a substantial knowledge of any particular piece of legislation anyway, or even a casual understanding of. That's the job of the law makers. The job of the voter was simply to elect men (in those days) of good moral character. Do you think the voters read bills back when Washington and Adams and Jefferson were running for President?

Seems like from the lack of responses to my post on the other page and comments from other users, Republicans children do not go to college.

Do you have a link to support your allegation. I've already read numerous threads where Conservatives post the youtube link of the lady saying "obama is going to help pay her gas and house note" while either through ignorance or willful party allegiance, take the lady's statement totally out of it's original context.

Maybe you need to explain what the context of what that woman was saying was. I heard the words and accepted the fact that she really believed that. I believe that you need to explain the context she was speaking from.
I'm sure you have some stats and you know proof to back up that absurd claim.
Yes. People I talk to that are students. They like Obama. Most have their education and some bills paid for by parents or some other external support. If the car breaks they call dad for some $$$, same thing with their health care needs. Fact. They are also excited about the potential for synthetic marijuana. But thats a topic for a different day.
Then again I've met some new grads in the oil industry who hate Obama...in California nonetheless. So they are not all lost cases.
It is a silly thread: making fun of college students who admit that they do not know what is in the job bill, whereas the odds are that none of the posters have any idea what is in the bill either (which was just submitted to Congress yesterday).
So according to the right wing, if you don't read a bill in its entirely the day after Obama proposes it, you must be stupid.
Well what does that say about tea partier Herman Cain who said he would NEVER read any bill longer than 2 pages?
