So...168 million Muslims think that suicide bombing and other forms of violence against civilian targets are justified in order to defend Islam from its enemies....
But that point should be ignored/or negated because for all we know the same percentage of Zoroastrians think that suicide bombing and other forms of violence against civilian targets are justified in order to defend Zoroastrianism from its enemies....
That probably makes sense to you.
Does it make sense to you to demonize Islam because 16.8% of its adherents think that suicide bombing and other forms of violence against civilian targets are justified in order to defend Islam from its enemies if 16.8% of Christians think that targeting civilians is justified in defending Christianity?
So...if you are using this position,I can then go back to a previous atrocity perpetrated by Muslims right?
We can go all the way back to when Islam was invented....
That isn't my position.
Can you answer my question?
How many non-muslim Americans felt that these actions were justified in order to defend America from its enemies?
Do you think that more than, less than, or equal to 16.8% of Americans in 2011 think that the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings (which targeted civilians) were justified in order to defend America?

Well if only we had a poll to show the latter it might be relevant.
Going on the poll we do have and the info at hand, support for murdering innocent people in defense of Islam is pretty popular.
We don't know if it is popular. Which is my point. 16.8%, by itself, is meaningless.
Well...I know this is a CRAZY way to think but....
It might have something to do with the almost complete lack of deliberate attacks upon civilians to defend other religions that make such polls pointless....
Hey,here is an idea, why don't you post a poll here asking Christians if they think that suicide bombing and other forms of violence against civilian targets are justified in order to defend Christianity from its enemies.
Make it to where we can see who responds too,so there isn't any trickery going on.
Oh,the deliberate targeting of civilians was a war crime by law....no matter which nation did it.
Always helps to be the winner of course.
Are you trying to justify Muslims supporting the deliberate targeting of civilians using the 'he did it first' position?
Well, if I were doing that, and the Muslims ended up killing enough civilians to 'win', I will be hailed as a sage if I live long enough to see it.
Obviously I am not doing that. I am pointing out that all nations do it, and I bet support for the deliberate targeting of civilians would be higher in the U.S. than 16%. Should I start a thread w/ a poll?

Muslims are not a nation.
Muslims are adherents to a religion that crosses national and ethnic lines.
Islam is a belief system. I have no moral obligation to like that belief system. I certainly have no moral obligation to respect adherents of that belief system.
Muslims are adherents to a religion that crosses national and ethnic lines.
Which is why it is ridiculous to lump them all together and say that "muslims believe..."
Are you going to get to this by the way?

Actually the ONLY thing binding Indonesian Muslims and Nigerian Muslims(for example) is religion....
And a belief in the deliberate murder of civilians to defend their faith.
A better question would be "How many Christians think that suicide bombing and other forms of violence against civilian targets are justified in order to defend Christianity from its enemies?"
But the responses probably wouldn't sit well with you.
