It might sound harsh but I would say, let them finish their sentence.

Iran demands Iran people jailed in the US to let free as well to show the same kindness...

Two stupid hikers or were they up to something else?

Why would anybody hike over there, this Country is huge and many places to hike and enough places on this earth to hike without getting in trouble like this. To me people who stupid things like this have to take the responsibility that comes with their actions and not let the government bail them out.

Anyway who is going to pay thta amount for them if it needs to be paid?

We the tax payers?

Hell no!

Well..I'm not sure how it's going to play out in todays political climate,BUT,if G.W. et al were still in power they would declare war on Sweden, spend 10 trillion dollars with Haliburton & KBR devastating the country and as an afterthought send 3 guys to Iran, land them on the wrong side of the country and have them start walking towards the area where the hikers were being held.

We denied release in Gitmo for people with no charges at all, let alone trespassing or crossing borders like idiots.

That's a good question...and one we won't hear too often from our friendly local media. Why, of all the places on Earth, would you pick Iran to go hiking? Could they have been that completely ignorant of the political situation?

I agree with you!

I wonder why there's a mystery about who is paying for getting these dunderheads out of a situation of their own making, too!

THEY should pay.......what the heck is wrong with hiking in Yellowstone or the American Rockies???No, these dodobirds decide ," Hey, let's go for a nice nature hike in the Middle East, how about a nice quiet place like the border between Iraq and Iran!"

Iran should've jailed them for Sheer Stupidity !...and thrown away the key!

OR maybe they WERE spies.....which seems to be a topic no one wants to talk about....

Why is the source of the ransom payment being kept a secret???? A year ago when the mullahs let their shrill girlfriend go for a similar ransom payment, the source was also kept secret.
I'm afraid the Obama administration is taking it out of your pocket and mine.

And I doubly resent it because these hostages were not just idiots or naive. That's giving them too much credit. They were in the Middle East in the first place because they were involved in the politics of radicalism.
I don't want them back in the US. They should rot in Iranian hell.
