Now, here's a math conundrum - how does one "create or save" 1.8-2.5 million jobs while at the SAME TIME losing 2.4 million jobs, which is how many have been lost since obama took over?

$900 billion in spending cuts out of $877 Billion stimulus? Wow! Now that's some new kind of obama math right there.

Huum, $477 billion dollars...and if 2 million jobs were created, which would not would be over 230K per job. Most of these jobs would notbe permament anyway...so what good does that do. Why would anyone accept this? It would be just as easy to give every tax payer 50K and tell them they have to spend it within 6mo...

Seriously, we live in a mooch society. The high earners (those who pay most of the income tax) are expected to hand their money over for a boon doggle, and political payoffs....Again, if it is my money, why the hell do you care what my tax rate is unless you are planning to sponge off me. If I pay more than you...than shut your pie hole....

If BO wanted to create jobs, there are alot easier ways,

1) allow repatriation of 1 trillion back to US at a 1x 10% rate, with a mandatory 15-20% required for new hires
Huum, 100 Billion New Revenue for Govt.
2) Do something that will give Business Confidence (note to non business people, a 1 yr temp tax reduction is not sufficient to make me or others want to hire - still too many expenses associated with hire after yr 1). How about lowering corporate tax rates permanently? Why not take out some of those job killing, costly regs? Saw none of that.

BO needs to put up, or shut up about Businesses hiring. He did not even ask the business community what they need. For all those whiners ou there, yes, demand has to be up...but costs for hiring need to be looked at. Our business demand is up, but we are not hiring do to uncertainty, until there is more certainty we will hire temp part time contracters with no benefits

The wealthy who managed to have everything distributed to them in the last ten years thanks in large part to the Bush tax cuts are now sitting on their corporate boards crying foul because they're taxed too much, regulated too much, and don't have the incentive to part with their money enough to hire Americans. But they like to hire foreigners, yes they do. They are holding the country hostage and won't create jobs until we turn everything over to them.

And you're buying into that sham and blaming Obama. I don't envy him the job of President and unlike most, I don't blame him for the lack of jobs. It's not part of the job description anyway.

Obama's centrist rhetoric is being ignored by a public that perceives itself to be deeply divided. The only part of that division that's real is the economic one. The country has no middle class, only the masses of workers and the happy hundreds of elite overlords. All other divisions are manufactured to cloud this economic reality and help the elite 'conquer' by dividing us into opposing factions.

I feel like Sinead O'Connor on SNL when she tore up a picture of the Pope screaming "Fight the real enemy". Yes, our government is to blame but mostly because it's a front for the elite. If we give in to the elite's destructive demands, we will lose everything. We should gather together, rely on our families, friends, and communities, and strike as a nation. Tell the rich we're in charge by hitting them in the pocketbook. Will they listen when everything grinds to a halt after two weeks?
Go right ahead. I am not rich, but in the class envy bracket. When will the leaches realize, that money I work to earn is not the Gov or someone elses to take. If you are poor, than how is i not your fault? Did you make bad decisions?
Did you sacrifice enough? I am all for charity, but people are responsible for their own actions. This coutry has alot of opportunity, not equal outcomes. We should be happy for those who are successful and not try to tear someone down becasue they are successful

If businesses continue to keep this attitude, you just watch.
Are you talking about a socialist revolution?

Obama needs to just make Congress make jobs with him. Should be easy, since they've agreed on pretty much everything so far. Look at the debt ceiling; you knew it was going to be raised. So did everyone, and it went smooth as silk in congress. No political points or infighting there. I think Obama making jobs with Congress's help will flow just as smoothly.

What kind of jobs should he make though? That begs the question doesn't it? I like the fairy dusting job the best, but unicorn rider and "fluffy bunny full of stars and rainbows guy" comes to mind as well.

Yeah. I wanna be a fluffy bunny full of rainbow stars.

All sarcasm aside, what job would you like him to make for everyone?

"Do liberals realize that speeches don't create jobs?"

Just like continually bashing Obama and liberals doesn't help anything either. But go ahead, and have your fun!

Neither do lowering or extending tax cuts apparently. But hey that don't stop the idiots in DC from doing it...right?
