Since when does a "bill" start in the White House? Barry does not have the authority to introduce legislation.
Almost all legislation originates from White House suggestions and then the Congress works it out to suit them. So much of the early legislation passed by the Congress in 2009 - 2010 came out of the White House in final form that some are beginning to see through what it happening. Congress didn't write the worst bills of the period, like stimulus and Obamacare. In fact, members had little to do with either of those.
However, the President has always suggested things for Congress to consider. The bad part about this one is that he wants his version passed and that won't happen.
Wait a minute...two democrat representatives don't like some of the things in the jobs proposal, so now NONE of the democrats like ANY of it?
You are not, yourself, spinning?
In the first place the Dems need every vote they can get for things like this and losing 2 before the debate even begins sounds like a heavy load to haul to them and me.
We can't invest in infrastructure projects because oil and gas companies need their special tax breaks and rich people also need their tax breaks.
I think that some of the oil companies are trying to study all forms of renewable energy so they can be involved in the development of it when it becomes both necessary and affordable. There is a chance that they will take some of the money they invest to do this and pay their increased taxes with it. Doesn't this make sense to you Democrats? You can try, can't you? You sound like you think that Maxine Waters has already nationalized the oil companies.
The only Repubs still in Congress are those in the Repub branch of the Democratic Party. A couple of them don't want Americans to get jobs, same as the TParty members of Congress.
When your margin is thin and depends on all your members plus a couple of independents along with 3 or 4 RINOs you have to keep all your people in a line and two of them are out before debate begins. I think that Dirty Harry and Prince Barack have their work cut out for them.
Obama is ordering the Congress around like he and his czars can force them to vote as he says. He may have to increase his "army" to the Secret Service and all the palace guard to get this one done.
I flat do not like Carville but sometimes he hits the nail on the head and this is one of those times. It is a shame that people who lean so far left are really controlling Obama's thinking or he may heed the words of Carville.
At the end of the article Carville used the normal Democrat global warming words and just a few minutes ago I heard that a Nobel prize winner among the warmers has resigned from his position because he thinks that warming a whole .8 degrees in 150 years is not too bad since humans have enjoyed it and that surely isn't much for that long a period. Maybe Carville will learn about this and get his "stinkin thinkin" turned a bit right.
Funny thing is, the Left/dems/obama actually think people will forget they OWNED congress for two year, had both branches, shoved crap down the American people's throat.......if the people do happen to forget, they will be reminded.
Some here didn't even see it happening when it happened and they haven't admitted it yet. Enough of us may never realize what that two years did to us to do anything about it.
A jobs bill has to materialize, and sooner rather than later. Too many people are suffering from the financial and psyhcological disaster of joblessness----it is creating a malaise and infecting the morale and confidence of our country.
Enough of playing political hand grenades with this issue-----we need to get on with creating jobs and growth.
We cant buy our way out of this mess----we should get that. On the other hand, we also cant slogan our way out of this also. Their needs to a mature and creative effort here to cut through this disastorous dilemma.
We need to find our way through tax code reform, plugging loopholes, deregulation, incentives for employers to hire, and finding a way to repair our failing infrastructures.
Both parties are to held accountable for the intransigence and floundering that now permeates our political process. The irresolute left as well as the far right are both responsible for this fog we now find ourselves in.
In the meantime the prospect of more layoffs on the horizon and mounting anxiety surfaces. Lets get off our collective arrogance and disdain-----lets stare down our own worst enemy----ourselves.

There just will not be a lot of job growth with Obama in office.
