You seemed to be missing my point completely. There is no reference to a Christian God in what he has. He may talk about a Christian God and all of the ones I mentioned before were Gods. How you choose to interpret what it means may be completely different from another interpretation.
Very narrow minded thinking and typical of the liberal mentality.
Considering he referred to the religious heritage of this nation, I seriously doubt he was referring to Islam or Buddhism. Unless Jefferson and Franklin were Muslim?
To me the only surprising element of this entire thread is Strel's characterization of this as a tricky case.

His constitutional rights to what?
Free speech?
No, if he wants to hang those banners in his house, fine. But it is not appropriate in a classroom where the students are 'captive'. This teacher does not own the school. He is not paying for the students to be there. It is a public school.
Besides, the article only mentioned two banners...apparently over 30 years he has added many others. I wonder what those banners say?
Same can be said for a lot of things that are taught in school by teachers other than those banners.

So could the teacher hang anyhtig he owns in the classroom? Can he write a sloggan on the chualk board. It seems the district did not object. Who owns the classromms? Sounds like a politcal difference eve between judges really.
