But some people receive assistance because they are women, or African American, or of a specific religion, or... Why should sexual orientation be excluded?

Imo, none of us is God nor qualified to judge this on a moral platform. We are all human, whether we approve or not. So just as any straight person has the right to approve or disapprove of gay rights or even homosexuality for that matter, a gay person has the right to do the same. The important thing is to remember that you never have the right to insult or harm another human being.

That's not my point.
How about "hispanic" scholarships?
Yes
How about a "sports" scholarship?
No. Those have to be earned.
Aren't they discriminatory too?
My replies in bold.

The Constitution is a charter of negative liberties, not positive. Not sure your point.

Free college maybe a pretty good incentive? How would you verify they were gay? Ask them to send in videos for review?

In an effort to explore what your thoughts are on this topic allow me to remind you of the other questions I asked:

Is this the only example of "special rights" that you are opposed to?

For instance, there are some misguided people on these very threads who argue that the right to marry a person of the same sex is one of these "special rights" and that gays have equal rights as straights because they have the equal right to marry a person of the opposite sex.

Do you agree with that position?
