Since owning a baseball team or becoming the Governor of a State has nothing to do with how you got into college .. "legacy admissions" has as much to do with Bush owning a baseball team or becoming a Governor as does "affirmative action".

You were talking about affirmative action. I just pointed out that there is affirmative action for the wealthy, too, they just call it something else. But if you are too obtuse to understand how much Bush benefited from the wealth and connections he was born into (though no efforts of his own) in buying a baseball team or jumping the line in the National Guard or getting elected to political office, there's nothing I can do to help you with that.

Practice what you preach, Democrats.
You'll see bills being pushed through or tabled (depending on the bill of course) in election cycles, effectively pandering for votes. The DNC cares more about their votes, then their welfare. That's why African Americans have nearly double the unemployment rate of everyone else combined. The so-called "help" they've given the poor communities hasn't; proving you can throw any amount of money at a problem and it will continue to be a problem, only bigger. Mission accomplished.

One of the best things to happen to these communities are trigger and charter schools.

A parent trigger is a legal maneuver through which parents can change the administration of a poorly performing public school.

Yet the DEMs actively go after these better performing schools consistently. De Blasio, Gov. Gerry Brown, Why?

http://civilhorizon.com/2014/02/06/w...arter-schools/

Maybe they don't want the poor to become truly educated, because they'd lose their vote if they did.

What the #ell is it that you don't understand?

First desertdetroiter says it's affirmative action then You jump in "It's legacy admissions" ... "It's legacy admissions" which had Nothing to do with owning a baseball team or becoming a Governor.

Do I need to explain what Legacy Admissions mean?

And as far as preferential treatment goes (due to one's name or otherwise) .. Even poor folks, who are neither a minority or a woman gets preferential treatment from time to time!

Guy's kid that lives down the street from me didn't get a job he wanted because another kids dad knew the companies owner!
(No big name, No big money involved)

Now excuse me while I go look up that big word you wanted me to notice .. Obtuse

How large was your poll sampling?

Did you stand outside the voting booths and interview people who voted for Obama?

In New Jersey, a vote is anonymous. Maybe it's different in Virginia.

Obama won because the competition sucked.

Is there affirmative action for high income people you love to call rich and love to tax? At this level almost every tax deduction gets phased out. Or are these the people who are not rich and not poor but expected to pay for it all screwed? Where is the affirmative action?
