I didn't disrespect this Marine one bit, so you can take your misplaced outrage and stuff it. There are countless stories of heroism and bravery that have happened every day and the truth is, these medals are often unfairly awarded anyway. There have been plenty of brave actions on the battlefield like this, and there has also been a renewed interest in awarding these medals as of late. I hope they give more of them out. Surely more people deserve them.
Yes, you did disrespect him.
Knock it off, there are Marines that have died so you could post BS on the interwebz.

Since you are clueless, I don't remember anyone in Afghanistan trying to interrupt my internet. And I'll express my opinion and could care less if you agree with it.
Don't try and silence those you disagree with, its un-American

Oh, you're gonna act all big and bad behind your keyboard?
Does it make you feel better to try to bully a woman?
Please, Marines have a name for such as you.
ETA: Thought better of trying to act the bully, did we?

Did you look closely into that Marine's eyes? It looked like the Thousand-Yard Stare, even though the poor guy is home now, working in construction and concerned enough about his job to worry about taking the call from Obama on company time.
Yes, his experiences in the theater of war will haunt him the rest of his life, but I took away from the stories about him that he suffers MOST from those friends he could not save.
He searched for them after the firefight and found their bodies to take home to their loved ones.
As the wife of a Vietnam vet with PTSD, I figuratively salute this exceptional young man's courage and selflessness -- he deserves a DOZEN medals of honor.

He will always have that 1000 yard stare.
