Meh, I quit giving a damn about the NFL when the Cardinals moved to AZ.
Its Gator season, anyway!

I think the Cardinals quit giving a damn about football when they moved to AZ too.

Ok, let's put forwatd a theory here.

It's now going to be prettty much impossible for a terrorist to hijack a plane.

They'll have to find another way.

Let us theorise that they hatch a plan to target either a single sports fixture, for example, the Superbowl, or a series of them across the country, buying blocks of seats scattered throughout the stadium, at various different venues.

At a pre-arranged time, they all detonate a small eexplosive charge, possibly containing SARS, but at least enough to kill or maim a few folks asitting around them, all across the country.

Would you like to be sitting next to one of these guys ?
Would you like your child sitting next to them ?
Or, would you rather they were intercepted by an elementary pat down as they enter ?

And please, don't give me any of this "it'll never happen" malarkey. Anything is possible

Seems no matter how high the tickets go up the stands are always full.

I would once like the entire stand in every stadium across our country empty
just to prove a point.

most of us cant even afford an NFL game.

WOW! Fans aren't gonna like dat!

They've already been doing it for years here in Foxborough. It's not a big deal but there are clearly people who enjoy making these things into a big deal. This is not a public place. If you want entrance into their facility you play by their rules. If you don't like it then don't go. The people who complain about their freedom in this situation just like to hear the sound of their own voice.

from the article:

It's sure to raise the ire of some fans who consider it an invasion of privacy.

You want "privacy" ? You can sit at home watching the game while scarfing down pizza and drinking cheap beer instead! I don't get how being patted down at a public event in the context of public safety somehow constitutes a "invasion of privacy'!

Every pat down is a confirmation that the terrorists have won.

That sounds like a quote straight out of Fox News though. If terrorists won nobody would be flying on a plane after 9/11 or attending any event where large amounts of people gather.
Seriously who thinks "I'm going to attend a football game and where is my gun"?
