the posse? they have as much power as a normal citizen. absolutely no power to compel anyone to do anything.
THE US Supreme Court disagrees.

Justice Marshall quoted Vattel in the Venus decision. In Inglis v. Trustees of Sailor's Snug Harbor, the Court looked to Vattel for guidance:

"Vattel considers the general doctrine to be that children generally acquire the national character of their parents, Vattel, B. 1, ch. 19. sec. 212, 219,"

Obama Senior's national character was Kenya and by his own admission did not seek citizenship, permanent domicile or residency in the US.

There is nothing in the record alien Obama admitting he had a son that was born in Hawaii. He never signed the supposed birth certificate, there is nothing in INS records where he admits he had a son named Barack Hussein Obama.

What was found in his INS records is the word "abscondee".

Arpaio is an idiot and gives conservatives a bad name.

He's been an idiot for years with his extreme "law and order" actions that trample on the rights of citizens. I'm just surprised that he hasn't been sued for his abuse of power.

Legal actions and fees related to Arpaio cost Maricopa taxpayers a small fortune every year.

How is it that so many Americans do not have even an inkling of how US citizenship is acquired? The US is one of the few countries where it is possible to obtain the right of citizenship by birth in addition to the ways which are common in the rest of the countries on this earth and yet nincompoop after nincompoop assumes that the only way to convey US citizenship is my being born on US soil.

As far as I am concerned, people who do not understand our laws should shut their yaps about this birther nonsense already. Sheesh.

I guess the same could be said about people who don't understand the Constitutional requirement that a president be native born within the United States. It's not about his citizenship, it's about his place of bith.

Age and Citizenship requirements - US Constitution, Article II, Section 1

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.
The term is "natural born."

As opposed to naturalized.

The text says nothing about "within the United States" which he was anyway.

Look up "jus sanguinis" and "jus soli".
