Still wrong...but it doesn't matter if Huffpo is as you call it "a troll site" because you changed the changed the list from their original post....if anything its a heavily opinionated site, which is their prerogative.

Clearly a troll thread, but I find it funny when people don't even realize that the US is not actually a democracy.
The US is a Liberal Democracy. It is not an Athenian Democracy, but it is still a type of democracy. Conservatives commonly make two mistakes in this regard. The first is they think democracy = Athenian Democracy, and second they think that being a democracy and being a Presidential, or Constitutional Republic are mutually exclusive.

Because it is clearly intended to be inflammatory, but that is not my point. The real point was that if you are going to drum up a list of reasons to try and support your grossly uninformed stereotype, then you should probably make sure you don't show your own ignorance about the points you claim "the other guy" is ignorant about.

We are a Representative Democracy, we have 435 Congressman based on population, and 100 Senators based on 50 states. We elect Representatives to cast votes for We, the People, whereas an Athenian Democracy was one person, one vote.
Imagine if we were an Athenian Democracy and the neoconservatives had to convince a majority of Americans to attack Iraq. Would have never happened.
