Well, you could interpret that as a good thing - the American homeland really hasn't been affected by terrorism in recent times. If America as a whole was at war (rather than at the mall, or wherever else), that would probably mean that things had declined a lot.

I'm eternally grateful for our fighting men and women, no doubt.
Just a small correction though, you can't blame all of Iraq's current problems on Iran, the various sects and sides in that country turned on each other the second Saddam was out of power. Iran is doing their share of instigating for sure but the Iraq's themselves are the ONLY thing between what is currently happening and a truly free, Democractic Iraq.
Terrorism will always be there, thanks to Iran. (And Libya, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Philipines,...) But it would be great to see Iraq handling Iran themselves. (Like they did before we went over there.)
