Predictable really. MSNBC will most likely share the same fate as Air America in a few years.

How badly has MSNBC been hurt by the loss of Keith Olbermann? Enough, apparently, to be on the verge of falling back into third place among the cable news networks.

The ratings results for the month of September show that CNN, long relegated to third place in the prime-time cable news competition, is edging its way back up, while MSNBC is moving in the other direction.

For the month, CNN averaged 257,000 viewers in prime time in the category that counts most to the networks — viewers between the ages of 25 and 54 — because that is where the advertising money goes for news programming. MSNBC was just barely ahead with 269,000 viewers. (Neither approached the leader, Fox News, with 526,000).

People still watch 24-hour news networks? I thought it was obvious to everyone they are all useless. Yes, even MSNBC (a liberal saying that).

Love it.

Couldn't happen to a finer bunch of liberals.

Notice doberman gets about 50,000 for his show.

I don't watch them since they got rid of Olbermann. O'Donnell and Maddow are nothing but administration mouthpieces..

Sad that the numbers for all three are so low. What is the other 99% of America watching instead of news? Reality TV crap. No wonder we have the leaders we do and why we keep electing people that ignore or will. People that don't bother to take the time to get informed should be strongly encouraged not to vote. Maybe if we had an all day Jersey Shore event on election day we could keep some of these morons home.

Far left liberal news outlets always fail, as they send a message that most people do not want to hear.

At least FOX presents liberal views. MSNBC is essentially a far left propaganda show and makes no attempts whatsoever to present both sides of an issue. Watching MSNBC, you really get the feeling they think that all conservatives are the "enemy". All the whining really gets tiresome.

Spoken like a true right winger that I bet hasn't tuned into anything but the ultra right wing fox propaganda

Otherwise the OP link is more trash as well. Try unbiased sites for information,..

"MSNBC continued to top CNN in primetime for 3rd quarter of 2011, finishing ahead of the formerly dominant news network for the 8th consecutive quarter. MSNBC continues to top CNN in the mornings as well"
