I say we let them visit NYC for a Liberty and watch the results. That would be quite a party.

The sad fact is that nations such as these in parenticies will not go to the negotiating table first. Force is the ONLY thing these countries respect. On the other hand, do you REALLY want a nation that has told the world publicly that it's PRIMARY GOAL is to wipe Isreal and the USA out of existance to have a military presence of any kind near the East coast of our country. At some point in time you need to put liberalism aside and begin to consider the real situation at hand.
I don't say this often, but your Oklahoma opinion is beyond stupid and simplistic.

No, the US cannot put its ships wherever it wants. What justification does America have to invade the sovereign waters of other nations? Does its needs supersede those of all other countries? Wouldn't this act, indeed wouldn't your opinion here be regarded by the rest of the world as unbelievably arrogant and unnecessarily aggressive? You say the US can put its ships wherever it wants to keep rogue (note spelling) nations from threatening other countries. So, the US is the policeman of the world and its young men and women should not only serve to protect their country but all the other ones its government considers threatened? Wow, that's really expensive. And wasteful. And morally wrong.

If the US can have military bases in 100+ countries, then those countries have every right to place military bases in our country. But they don't because our single country has more than 50% of the world's military power and our uber-aggressive stance and trigger happiness makes us the world's Godzilla, something to be avoided, something to prepare to go to war with (and they WILL, believe me). They also cannot afford to do so and know, unlike us, how ridiculously wasteful and destructive it is.

Wouldn't you want the biggest threat to your existence wiped out? Wouldn't you want the biggest a-hole in the boat pushed overboard? News Flash: The rest of the world does NOT see us as friendly dispensers of democracy and peace.

And you blame liberalism to boot! You don't even understand the concept. Or why it has nothing to do with this argument.

Wow, you can't just come at me, but you have to bring Oklahoma into it too? Obviously you didn't read my entire statement, although I'm so glad you went out of your way to comment on my poor spelling. Some nations, such as Iran ONLY respect FORCE. Get it? If we allow them to do as they please, without keeping a close watch on their activities, or getting too close to our assets, we only have ourselves to blame if a significant number of our population become hurt or killed as a result of their actions. As I stated before, Iran has made it known publicly to the rest of the world that their primary goal is to wipe Isreal and the USA off the map. If that can't be seen as a direct threat to the well being and safety of our nation in your point of view, I guess then to you, ignorance is bliss.
