"No one should suffer because they lack {fill in the blank}" should be prefaced with "No one should be compelled to labor for the benefit of another, so that..." because slavery is not an acceptable solution to the ills of mankind.
Remember, voluntary charity is a blessing.
Compulsory charity is a curse.

So if you're a socialist pirate, seeking to rob and enslave, SHAME on you!

I have yet to find a socialist who wasn't generous with other people's money.

Let see GOP debates have featured Ponzi scheme, 234 exections cheered, Let em die, plus booing a gay soldier. How many did this-don't know, quantity does not absolve fact 4 separate incidents in 4 debates happened.

Really? You're actually, in good conscience, starting an anti-Tea Party thread by posting a link to Mother Jones as your source?

That's like a conservative Republican saying that the Liberal Left is on the wane and then posting a link to Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity.
Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed many an issue of Mother Jones over the years, as I always try to keep tabs on opposing viewpoints, but that publication is so far to the left it makes the New York Times seem fair and balanced.

I was sure that this one would be at some site I wouldn't even click if I wanted to read the article. Now Mother Jones got me one year back in the 70s but was just too left for me and I had just left the Democrat Party in 1972. I guess I will just take you title at its word.

Sure they do which is why they are actaully having alot of influence on both parties after redistribtuion of welath programs since the mid 60's has resulted in such failures in policies. Now like it or not real change is comig as it can't be avoid any more.

File this one away with Congress's low approval ratings.

The only approval ratings that matter are the ones in the districts and states where elections are held.

The Tea Party Movement isn't trying to cut a deal with anyone, If we were, we would make more friends...slimy corrupt Washington insider friends.

After having their a$$es handed to them in the 2010 midterms, lame duck Democrats who spent the past decade pi$$ing and moaning about the Bush tax cuts for millionaires cut a deal to extend those tax cuts in exchange for even more deficit spending.

This is the spirit of compromise.

This is bipartisanship in action.

You can deal with people like these.

The Tea Party Movement has no interest in striking a deal with anyone if children too young to vote are left holding the bag. Future generations will be stuck paying the bill long after the tax cuts expire and unemployment insurance runs out. If opposing this sort of compromise alienates the movement from the recipient class and fat cats who can put their differences aside long enough to blow up the deficit, then so be it.

Oh, but haven't you heard the latest spin?

1. They were liberal plants, made to paint the tea party in a bad light.
2. The libs are lying. They weren't booing the soldier himself; They were booing his question.
3. Nope, they're just decent, patriotic, heartland Americans who are just worried 'bout the direction their country's going. People like you and me. Oh, really?

Funny, I live in the rural midwest. It should be tea party central, and don't know anybody here as hateful as those people. My neighbors have the decency not to do, allow, condone, or shrug off the things that we saw and heard at those debates. (and what we saw was a pretty clear pattern) And I live in a pretty conservative place. You can't call my neighbors RINO's.

Liberals dislike the TEA Party more than ever before. That tiny percentage of the US populace is by no means an indicator of the likes or dislikes of the majority of Americans.

mackinac81, odd thing is TP lives in their own fantasy world so much they cannot fathom how vastly different 270 electoral votes is, from 435 INDIVIDUALLY counted House races. They can't fathom GOP to win WH needs a 5 point minimum Independent plurality, which means 13 points better than 2008, and more vital, they must make that move in non TP hotbeds like Colorado. As political strategists in 2012, TP is on par with the Three Stooges, minus the ability to gather an intentional laugh.
