do what?

what did you think i meant when i said that they "go back and revise the data" ?

they release figures, and then come back later... sometimes a year or two later... and change the data again. This means we are not heading in the right direction, they are fudging the data with poor assumptions.

Dang, you sound like an Obama teleprompter. You're repeating the crap he says, verbatim. Are you even capable of formulating an original thought?
This is about what works and whats going to turn the economy around. Taxing the rich will cut down the debt and help the economy. It worked in the 90s under Bill Clinton until Bush reversed it and gave the rich a tax break while spending government money like there was no tomorrow. Where was the Tea Party then? The Tea Party only hates spending when the democrats do it.

I realize that functional illiteracy is rampant, but did anyone READ the link?

"New claims for unemployment benefits dropped sharply in the latest week..."

NEW CLAIMS = increased unemployment

Not LESS CLAIMS OVERALL.

The unemployment and underemployment rate didn't IMPROVE, only the rate of FAIL has slowed.
... for one week ...

That's a heck of a lot of ground to overcome in only a year. I think you're living in fantasy land.

I don't think people pay much attention to GDP. It's the markets, price of gas and food, and unemployment that determine most people's feeling about the economy.

But yes, there is plenty of time for the economy to rebound and help Obama get reelected.

It can happen. Remember in politics, things can turn on a dime. Remember McCain was leading Obama in the polls a month before the election. If Perry keeps talking he is going to self-destruct and the GOP isn't too thrilled about Romney.

Even if we have a booming economy, the country is not moving in the right direction.
