This is infuriating.

These holier-than-thou HYPOCRITES want a full say and involvement in political issues . . . but they do not want to pay taxes OR allow the government to involve itself in their business.

Yank these clowns' freaking tax-exempt status!!

This weekend, hundreds of pastors, including some of the nation’s evangelical leaders, will climb into their pulpits to preach about American politics, flouting a decades-old law that prohibits tax-exempt churches and other charities from campaigning on election issues.

The sermons, on what is called Pulpit Freedom Sunday, essentially represent a form of biblical bait, an effort by some churches to goad the Internal Revenue Service into court battles over the divide between religion and politics.

I agree with you. Tomorrow I will preach a sermon on the Gospel of Thomas; I refuse to be part of pulpit freedom Sunday. Those who do make a mockery of the separation of church and state and yes, they should have their tax exempt status revoked.

These so called "Christians" heap dung on the head of Jesus every time they open their ignorant mouths.

The kingdom of heaven which they should be concerned about is not in Washington. Their obsession with the secular rather than the spiritual is exactly why Jesus called the religous leaders of His day a "Band of vipers".

Although I do attend church regularly,I would walk out without a seconds hesitation if politics or politicians were mentioned from behind the pulpit...not interested in that from my tax exempt pastor.

I would love to go to church and embarrass the preacher/priest for talking politics. I'd have someone film me as the churchgoers beat the crap out of me, then I'd sue for assault and infringing on my free speech rights. That should put them out of business. Sounds like a plan?! Let's organize...

Trying to twist a law to suit an agenda, never works.

Nothing says god must stay out of government. It only says the government has to stay out of the business of gods and spirits.

Control the religion and you control the people.
Even no religion, is a religion....
