He lives in a place where the family values crowd (or the protect property values crowd) has prohibited that sort of thing in the zoning code. Can't have unrelated singles living together, you know. Encourages sin and reduces property values.

You all do realize that some low income people do work for a living, don't you? Why is the default conservative description of poor people always that they're lazy, worthless and should just die? It's like they don't believe in the idea of the "working poor".

You are right, it is not fair. It is about as ridiculous as the default liberal position that there is no such thing as the "working rich."
