Here's what i don't get. Those of you beating up on Obama about not fixing the jobs situation are the first to make fun of the occupy wall street movement. Our policies have sent the jobs off shore and set up a situation where American small business is struggling--both parties have been bought and sold by big business. What's good for big business isn't always what's good for main street, and main street is about the only job creater we have right now. We need to get big business out of our elections--they're controlling our policy decisions--and that's what the focus of that whole movement is working for, regardless of what a few goofy kids say when they're interviewed. Wall Street isn't evil--that's silly--but no one group should have complete and total power over the system. You can't complain that Obama hasn't done anything, and then put down people who really are trying to address the problem--you're trying to have it both ways, and that's just going to lead us to more of the same. I'm a moderate R and a small business owner, and I'm sick of both parties. They're both as corrupt as the other. Something big has to change.

I'd probably respect him more if he would just admit he doesn't know what he's doing. Throw his arms up and say 'I give up!' sort of admittance. As it is he just BSes his way through everything by throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, out there to see what sticks.

It is called globalization. Good-bye to our independence forever.. no longer the United States of Americans.. it is now the United Nations of Globalization with our borders opened for grabs.

Our industrial strength is gone thanks to legislation . We buy Chinese products and prop up their economy while our economy is sinking.

We need to drill for oil and give our economy a boost with lower energy costs.

Inflation will continue as long as the price of oil is high. A dollar is worth very little today.

Plus Obama doesn't care about Americans and energy costs. Solar and wind are primitive and will stay that way. Our only hope without drilling for oil is the big rigs converting to natural gas.

American families are dealing with inflation of food costs , energy costs and trying to survive a bad economy. It is far from over.

The seniors got no cola raise in their social security checks for two years while welfare recipients got a raise.

No money being made in CD's and IRA's today for those savers who did the right thing..

Greed is in today and all we see is bling and excess on tv today as if that brings happiness. That wears out after a while. There is always others who have more so where does it all end anyway.. the person with the most toys wins what?
And Obama has done what for the economy?

State governments fix their own bridges and roads, its why we pay gas, sales and property taxes.

Sorry, but resurfacing a road does not create jobs, it creates a part time employment, and when the road is resurfaced or the bridge is repainted, then that temp job goes away.

Look at it this way, gov't raises taxes, and takes $2 million dollars out of my city's economy. That is $2 million less money to hire new employees, expand a business, or pay the bills. So how does taking that money away from my city, to resurface a road in another town, create jobs?

Gov't doesn't create jobs. Taking money out of one city's economy, and spnding it to resurface a road in another city, is like scooping sand out of one side of the sandbox, and pouring it into the other side of the sandbox. The gov't wastes money along the way, due to the federal bureaucracy, so that $2 million they took from my town, dwindles down to a million or less, and that's if it is not spent to enrich some political crony instead of resurfacing a road.

Would that be the bottom 40% of Americans who pay zero income taxes?

Government is cutting teachers, policeman and fireman? And spending it on what, special interst projects like Solyndra, tunnels for turtles, studies to find out the sex habits of college women, or special political action groups like and ACORN?

That is the problem, government is freaking wasting our tax dollars, and when we call them on it, they claim they will cut back on police and fire protection, but keep giving away our tax payer dollars for their crony capitalist pork projects, kickbacks for their campaign donors and vote buying schemes.

Sadly, this is so true.
