The bigger the government, the less Americans are willing to trust it.

68% trust their local government

57% trust their state government

47% trust the executive branch (President)

31% trust the legislative branch (Congress)

Interestingly, Southerners trust their state governments more than any other region.

the more local the better it is, dunno if I'd use the phrase trust better. Maybe don't distrust as much.

There is no such thing as trustworthy government, it is just that local government is easier to access when they get too far out of line.
