Everytime somebody says "wouldn't it be nice if the gov't did X for us..." we lose a little freedom. For example if gov't gives us our health care, suddenly gov't also has a legitimate interest in what we eat, smoke, drink, shoot up, and how often we work out. Like it or not.
When you find the answer to that, you will find the root of all our nations troubles.
Because the US Constitution which affirms the same liberties and freedoms you reference are the antithesis of the Marxist Progressive movement.

Exactly! People vote largely for representatives who have the ability to bring home a larger slice of the taxpayer pie home to their district/state. Instead they should be voting for those representatives who are willing to best uphold the US Constitution as it is this foundation which best protects individual freedom and liberty.
Every American has the freedom to have his/her emails and phone calls monitored by the NSA. Three cheers for freedom! hip-hip....
Are you saying that those who proclaim freedom and liberty support such?
I don't, so what do you have to say about that?
