Americans want a one party political system, all Republicans. That way everything will be fine and wonderful.
Repubs are far from perfect. They got thrown out in 2006 - and rightfully so - for corruption, uncontrolled spending and $200B+ deficits. Pelosi rode in on "drain the swamp" and "paygo", and proceeded to give us more corruption and $T+ deficits. Not surprisingly, her dems were then thrown out in droves. Repubs may or may not have learned the lesson from their defeat. Dems clearly have not...
People see Obama reaching out to the protesting anarchists and hippy burnouts and they get turned off. Those people are part of the problem and will never be part of any solution. All he can do is pit people against one another the the status quo continue. And those mainstream people who do see problems with the system and want somebody to spearhead reform, they look at Obama and realize he's never going to be the one to do it because he's on the banks and the major money movers payroll. And then you have the Obama supporters themselves who turn mainstream people away. One look at MSNBC and you realize just how out of touch and even warped his propagandists are.

When will the Left understand that what they consider good campaign strategy, appropriate rhetoric and social "justice" is a turn-off to a majority of Americans?
The Left thinks Americans are better than Americans really are, but Americans really consider NIMBY, exclusionary zoning, taxing the poor, and social injustice good and desirable things.
Americans fear living among others whom they consider to be inferior and dangerous, and are not hesitant to use the powers of government to separate the classes.
The Left is so woefully misguided. If only they knew the ugly truth.
That's really what you want to believe. The reality is, the Republicans could put up a cocker spaniel, and the cocker would win. Obama's numbers are unbelievably bad. The economy is unbelievably bad, the wars are a disaster. There is very little positive Obama can point to. It simply isn't a viable campaign to say, Yeah I know I stink, but the other guys really stinks. Obama is toast.
No, not a cocker spaniel. I say we go with a wooden cigar store indian. He would never lie, never promote job-destroying regulation, never need vacations, and never betray a pure absence of the faintest hint of how business or the economy works. In other words, he would make a far better president than what we have now.
So, how's the weather in Nigeria? I mean, you did bring up "meaningless," which accurately portrays the failed opinions of Obama's Sheep Herd. lol
