It's apples to apples, because Reagan raised taxes too when he realized he had cut too much and the debt was out of control (the debt tripeled during his presidency), but even after those raises, our taxes today are still lower than Reagan's rates. If any of the "R" nominees said the things Reagan said, they would be called RINOs. Sad, but true.
