The tea party movement’s uninformed populism is embarrassing to many on the right. No wonder Brendan O’Neill, seeing the same phenomenon on the left, wrote in The Telegraph that “The teenage moralism of the Occupy Wall Street hipsters almost makes me ashamed to be Left-wing.”

They don't want "reform", they want the end of capitalism.
This is why the democrats won't get much benefit from these protestors. Many seem to be too far to the left(socialist,marxist etc) which is outside the democratic mainstream.
When a protestor is holding a " Will Bathe For Food " sign, you may want to question who the protestors are and just what their motivations are.
Did you really see a sign like that? I would have lost the next two meals laughing if I saw that. I am trying to lose some weight so how about telling me where I can see that. I do need a good laugh, better than just hearing about it.
Haven't the reforms they want already been passed by Democrats?
Financial reform was passed, but it was watered down. Wall Street lobbied the Republicans pretty hard and they fed in a lot of money. The Republicans then pushed to remove most of the teeth of the financial regulation.
It's sort of funny how the tea baggers, who are most upset by the bailouts, vote for those who least want to hold banks accountable.
I support the right of protesters to protest.....but I have to admit that the people i've seen protesting are pretty much a disgrace to Liberalism. Seriously, when I see these people, I am reminded that these are the people who harbor the ideology that I outright despise....and to see that most of them are the bottom-feeders of society....it almost makes me physically ill to think that THEY hold any clout whatsoever in political circles. These people? This is what Democrats represent? Jesus, what has this nation become?
Yes, that's just it, these kids only know what their professors told them, and they know what gets texted to them on their nice foreign made iPhones.
They know nothing about taxes because they've never worked a day in their lives for anything.
Most of them haven't worked a job but I saw one a while ago who brought his family of two small children and his wife down from a New England state with several hundred pounds of vegetables for the protesters just a few minutes ago.
I am seeing progs post here that these college kids who can't pay their loans off and want them paid by government really can't get decent jobs. They wouldn't go to work regularly if they had jobs and couldn't keep them if they had them. The best thing I have heard from those at the meeting is that many of them quit their jobs to go protest. Now how smart is that?
its the swarming of the hive. something or someone has taken all the honey. they have been invaded but are not sure by whom or how or why. but they are angry and are making noise.
they are also correct. the honey is gone and the hive has gaping holes in it.
All they know is that they smell weed and body odor.
It draws the freaks like ants to a picnic!
