This is amazing!

Finally, a "news" outlet can take his false rhetoric no longer and is exposing his campaign tactic for all the world to see.

SPIN METER: Obama disconnects rhetoric, reality - Yahoo! News

Quote:
WASHINGTON (AP) — In President Barack Obama's sales pitch for his jobs bill, there are two versions of reality: The one in his speeches and the one actually unfolding in Washington.

When Obama accuses Republicans of standing in the way of his nearly $450 billion plan, he ignores the fact that his own party has struggled to unite behind the proposal.

The approach for Obama, who is seeking a second term in a dismal economy, is far different than the one he took when running for president.
Oh, indeed it is. Who could forget his "uniter" rhetoric?

The reality, which we told you he would be before the election, is that he is the most divisive president in history.

A piece well worth reading.

I just clicked it again - it worked.

I think I'll save the page, just in case the WH calls and starts their bullying tactics to make it go away.

I no longer contemplate "who can beat Obama?".....once the GOP primary is over and people can rally around one person....Barack Obama is toast. American's have seen this guy for what he is (and isn't) and they don't like what they see. This includes his base. He's done, and he knows it, so all this vigor on the campaign trail will be for naught. It's a last ditch effort to revive a Failed Presidency.

And hopefully many failed ideologies such as corporatism and socialist leaning policy.

We read two completely different articles apparently. She was not lambasting Obama for his rhetoric, she was making excuses for his disconnect from reality.

Quote:
The disconnect between what Obama says about his jobs bill and what stands as the political reality flow from his broader aim: to rally the public behind his cause and get Congress to act, or, if not, to pin blame on Republicans.

...

"He knows it's not going to pass. He's betting that voters won't pick up on it, or even if they do they will blame Congress and he can run against the 'do-nothing Congress,'" said Sherry Bebitch Jeffe, a senior fellow at the University of Southern California's School of Policy, Planning and Development.

I didn't see it that way.

As long as his lies and unreality are exposed, makes not a bit of difference to me.

I didn't see her making excuses. She explains what most of us already know...that basically he lies with abandon and very rarely is he called on it by the media.

This is an honest question, do you really think Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, or even Herman Cain would end corporatism in America? Keep in mind that Rick Perry has a record of alleged "pay for play" in Texas, Mitt Romney is taking in copious amounts of corporate dollars, and Herman Cain worked for the FED and supported TARP.

I'm not defending Obama here at, trust me Obama's in bed with the fat cats just as much, if not more so than many Republicans. I really want to see the end of corporate domination of the electoral process, I just don't realistically see the GOP as being able to do that. I don't see Mitt Romney as a guy whose going to stand up to Wall St. and K Street and work to end our crony capitalist system. I would vote for any candidate from any party who would honestly work for that. Too me that's even more important than ending our wars in the Middle East.

The only "mainstream" candidate who wouldn't be bought and sold is Ron Paul, and the only GOP candidate who has made this the central piece of his campaign is Buddy Roemer. The fact that you'll ask "Buddy who?" is a sad reflection of our corporatist nation.

Quote:
The corrupting influences that special interests have over our political system have never been stronger. Politicians in Washington, D.C. are completely beholden to these special interest groups to fund their political campaigns. It is time that someone stands-up against the power of the big checks, the bundled checks and the corporate checks.
This campaign is about challenging the institutionally corrupt forces that are opposing real reform. I want to empower the average citizens on Main Street, not the well-paid lobbyists from Wall Street. To do so, I will need the support of some of the 99% of Americans who have never donated to a candidate for elected office.
I am committed to fighting these corrupt special interests and I am willing to take the tough, bold steps necessary to do so. That is why I have refused to accept PAC money and limited individual campaign donations to a maximum of $100. We need a President who is free to lead.

I agree 100%...Obama, Perry, Cain, Romney, even throw in Clinton should she decide to run would all be the same when it comes to the wars and crony capitalism. Paul is the only guy for me at this point...I'm not 100% on board with everything he says, but I agree with a significant majority.

Roemer, looks interesting...I cant see a path (ie money) for him getting there in 2012, but would be an interesting VP candidate which could get the ball rolling for him in 2016 or beyond.
