Maybe so, but it's a protected party as defined by Supreme Court ruling and the United States' constitution's stances on expression and affiliation.
Actually, it is not a protected political party, and anyone that associates themselves with the Communist Party can be fired on the spot. Federal discrimination laws do not apply to communists under the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

I remember a lot of RW crap in a couple of business and economics classes. I also remember a lot of LW crap posing as socialist in anthropology and politics. The math and science professors left politics out of the class room.
Personally I am very far left of the Democrats and very concerned with Republican demagoguery. The Democrats seem to be owned by the big banksters and the Republican ARE the banksters with a large helping of government supported industrialists with a penchant for borrowing money for imperial wars.
I am also aware the Senator McCarthy was a nearly insane drunk looking for personal glory that did not care what damage his accusations did to innocent people. As far as people spying for the Soviet Union are concerned they have their spies and we have ours. In any case the soviets were needed to keep us on a permanent wartime economy just as the Soviets.

Not true. The founding principles of the nation are "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." If you happen to be against any or all three, then that would make you an anti-American, as in "against the American founding principles."
People can, and do, disagree all the time, but they still hold "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" as being the founding principles of the nation. If you are anti-life, anti-liberty, and anti-pursuit of happiness, then you are anti-American.
Anti-Americanism includes socialists and communists, since they vehemently oppose the founding principles of the nation.
As in accuse everyone, some are bound to be guilty?
