What about the attempts on this forum to ridicule the Tea Party? I recall some of the photos that deliberately picked out the most obese, unattractive Partiers and misspelled signs. Is that "criticizing the issues"? As they say, some can dish it out, but they can't take it.

The tea party does a very good job of ridiculing themselves. As far as the photos of the rotund teabaggers, you don't have to travel far to see an illiterate supersized tea partier. I would say that the photos you saw are the cream of the crop.

People aren't objecting to the criticism, just to the awful humor.

I don't even support OWS. I feel it's misguided and that people have no clue what the hell they're yelling about.

I just think that if there are going to be jokes, they should at least be rooted in an understanding of what's going on, not mixing up completely different political systems.

Last time I checked, ignorance on either side was never funny... especially when the opposite side is just as ignorant in their understanding.

And I'm sure defecating in the streets and public sex isn't allowing the OWS to ridicule themselves? That's far worse then a few "illiterate supersized" tea partiers (of which I, as a Tea Partier, am not).

OWS is going to be a nice backdrop to the Macy's Thanksgiiving Day Parade next month.

Care to share some fatty jokes? Even good Progressives can pile on those folks and maintain their open minded cred.

Double bonus if they shop at W/M.

Of course, who doesn't like a politically incorrect joke from time to time though?

Basically, you're doing the political equivalent of calling a potato-eating Irishman a ribs-and-watermelon eating Irishman, though.

"MAN: Do you come here often? CROWD: DO YOU COME HERE OFTEN?"

"I don't know why I'm here either. We have so much in common!"

"I'm having a guerrilla uprising. In my pants"

"If you're for green energy, I've got billions in stimulus to unload"

"Your Che shirt looks great, but it would look even better crumpled at the foot of my stinky sleeping bag by the storm drain'
