Scores arrested at Occupy Boston protest site | Reuters

I wish the story would give the "why" of the ultimatum. Isn't it our right as American citizens to peacefully assemble in public?

Before it's all said and done this movement is going to devolve into one of those G8 riots.

You dont have the right to break the law while exercising your first amendment rights. You cant kill people while exercising your first amendment rights and you cant trespass, vandalize or break noise ordinances either.

Were they doing any of those things?

Does that right extend to erecting semi-permanent "tent cities" on public property?

The protesters were allowed to take over a certain section of the Greenway that runs through Boston. (For disclosure sake: the Greenway is a well manicured beautiful swath of green that runs through the city and is maintained by a nature conservancy at great cost) The protesters have now expanded their Hooverville to adjacent sections of the Greenway that the Mayor and the police explicitly warned were off limits. Hence the arrests.

Obey the alw and 7you have no problem. But I guess that is too much for a mob mentality to understand.

I guess "civil disobedience" is too much for others to understand.

You know, civil disobedience like the original Boston Tea Party?

But ain't it the truth: you take your chances with the law, justice is only a roll of the dice. A flip of the coin. A turn... of the Wheel

BTW, this protest has very little widespread support. The people of the city (the Taxpayers) are beginning to question the wisdom of allowing this occupation. Peaceful assembly mentions nothing about a takeover of public property with its inevitable damage to said property.

we're going to see this escalate into riots like London experienced earlier this year. Looting...violence....etc.

And hey folks....these are the people Obama is standing shoulder to shoulder with...let's not forget that. And the democratic national committee has issued a statement that they support this group as well.

So when it reduces down to rioting and destruction...let's remember where to lay the blame..
