It is quite rare for a meaningful regime change to happen without violence. This applies to all changes not just communism. For example, Britain fought a very bloody civil war led by Oliver Cromwell to switch to the Constitutional Monarchy/Parliament model that limited the power of the royal family. Other examples include the Axis capitulation to the Allies. Many members of the Axis with the exception of West Germany, Italy, and Japan became Communist while the the ones I listed before became democracies.

The Arab Spring has been peaceful in some parts of the Arab World although time will tell if it is a meaningful regime change.

You're quite right. I just wanted to add that even Nature itself is not equal.

Even if they did win, much of communism would still be unconstitutional.

I'm not sure because every time it has been attempted the forces of reaction have met the challenge with force. See Vietnam, Korea, Chile, Iran, and the Congo just to name a few.

Well, in that case you could call a constitutional convention to amend or scrap it altogether to create a new one. It's the only non-violent alternative I can think of. But since this will not be happening any time soon, I see no need to worry about it.

Impossible the Left is wedded to violence. Has been since its inception in Revolutionary France.

The way that communism would come in is with osmosis... a slow change that would be hard to recognize. I see it but many do not.

First the masses would be spoon fed ideas over the years and it will sound logical but the underlying current would be for a slow change to take away rights of the people... they would be ignored when they are fighting for freedom to advance capitalism and shot down by the federal government. The party that is most likely to first accept communism would be the democratic party because they are more aligned to accepting big government and a take over of their minds would be easy if they are told that their cause will be advanced or acting like they are standing up for them but that power would go to the cause of moving socialism in.

The opposite of capitalism is communism.. we know that the republican party are more protective of capitalism because it works and brings prosperity into the country. It is now being choked by the socialists.

The infiltration of communism will start. It will be legislated in government to eradicate the prosperity of capitalism as it was. They will legislate down our ability to produce and be competitive with other countries. Our industrial base is practicially gone now because of this legislation, leaving many people with no jobs because of tax burdens, EPA, and federal laws with much red tape.. such as drilling for oil.

The federal government have legislated the United States into underemployment. The federal government through Obama has become the destroyer of business . As we continue the progressives will take us into a bigger form of socialism through government takeovers in medicine, and industry regulations.

We then have the debt that will bring down our economy as the spending is increased and the taxes will have to keep up . The top 1 percent can escape and move out of the US and take their business elsewhere leaving us with no businesses and the government owning whatever is left. The federal government has the power. Try to undo what has been done. It is practically set in concrete and the democrats that are smart will recognize the changes to their party. The blacks vote specifically democrat by design with handouts. One must really listen to see the slant of why the left says what they say. It is for manipulation of the masses to promote smothering capitalism so communism can come to be.
