If you write a check to the IRS every April, or if you get a refund for an amount less than what was taken out of you check, then you pay income taxes. I have very serious doubts that it's 53% anyway. Probably more like 80% of the population that pays income taxes

I don't care if I have to pick coke cans up off the side of the road to get by. I am NOT entitled to the money other people have made, many of whom worked their way up from nothing--like Steve Jobs--to get to where they are. They started with an idea, a passion, and true grit. They deserve their success. You do realize that the vast majority of those 47% do have jobs, or are retired from long term jobs, they work very hard, they contribute the majority, or all of their income to the economy, they buy whatever you sell to earn a high enough income to be required to pay FIT, they support entrepeneurs by buying products, and services. They also pay a large percentage of their income to other taxes, and it hurts A LOT more when the income is smaller.
You are perfectly welcome to get a lower paying job so you don't have to pay FIT, but you better realize you will be struggling to pay all the other taxes people pay, and struggling to support your family. Whatever luxuries your high income affords you will be gone, AND you will be insulted and called a freeloader by the ignorant.
I own a business and pay lots of taxes including FIT, but I am not so arrogant that I think I do it all alone. I get to know those who buy my services and keep me in business, they are all working, some 2 jobs, many are struggling to get by while constantly worrying about the next layoff, life is not fair for them either, they would trade you salaries in a heartbeat, and pay their taxes without whining and throwing out insults. As I have said, I am all for tax reform but this insulting nonsense is disgusting!

Why should anyone pay any federal income tax at all? Abolish it. Shrink the federal government.
