Look, I am in the same tier as you -- Advanced Engineering Degrees -- back when school was cheaper, with no student loans. Similar stuff and numbers on the rest of the list, along with some military time in there.

But just because We Got Ours -- What is up with the "F the Kids" behind us routine?

School prices have doubled or tripled or more since our time. And there are no jobs for the kids. Been shipped out of the country so the Corps can make big bucks and keep a few of us higher dollar cracker folks around the Plantation.

Do you really have no situation awareness?

53% or not -- It is not about You. Or Me. It is all of US.
I graduated in 08 from college... After the financial crisis had started... My schooling cost over $100,000 total. So yeah, I'd say I am closer to what these kids experienced. Most of them are just lazy though and that's the cold hard truth.

You say "school prices doubled or tripled"... since 2008?!?! So it costs 300,000 to go to school now? Give me a break.

I fit in nicely with these young OWS protesters-- because I am young like them. I lived through what they lived through. I know it is possible for them to get ahead, but half of them are just spoiled brats who have never had to work a day in their lives. That's the truth.

Sure. And while doing that -- make it all Zero.

And then just collect Corporate, Dividend, Capital Gains, and Tariff/Import taxes to run EVERYTHING.

Where have I seen that . . . . hmmm?

I know. The US Constitution.

Do you really think it's so easy for poor people relocate to another country? Hasn't stopped poor people from relocating to the US, but they tend to whine a lot less the Americans. If everyone with a problem with the country just left, the country would never change, and believe it or not, many of the people militating for change love America, and don't want to leave. The "love it or leave it" garbage is such a lazy rejoinder to people who want to reform or transform the society in which they live, and I wish people would drop it. Maybe you should move to a country with more stringent welfare laws. Maybe you should move to a country where healthcare is better regulated. Maybe you should move....As mentioned, I too agree that we need changes to the way things are done in our country, but choose to address it in a more productive fashion.

Back to all your demands, how do you expect those changes to come about unless folks get out and make their voices heard? Well, I do think that the OWS people are wasting their time, although, they don't seem to have much else to do. Instead, they should use the passion they have for protesting and start a business, or stop buying foreign made products. Politicians aren't interested in tort reform, or much of any reform at the moment. What you call bitching is actually people trying to push the system to change for the better, since voting between the red devil and the blue devil hasn't seemed to do the job.
Agree that both parties are corrupt, but the Repubs were pushing for tort reform and other regulations while Obama was ramming Obamacare down our throats.

Then it gets back to the right of Americans to buy homes they can afford and thereby escape rent slavery.

I pay more to rent a ROOM than my next door neighbor pays to OWN a 3BR house. How is that fair?

Well, if you can't see that a person earning $20,000 a year can't afford an additional $2,000 in taxes while a two millionaire has plenty of disposable income to shoulder that burden, we can't even have a conversation.

Someone earning only $20,000 spends all they earn on necessities and doesn't have the $2,000. A $2,000,000 earner has plenty of money to pay $200,000. Flat-taxes aren't fair taxes. It presumes that all income levels have equal ability to share the tax burden, which is not true.

But also notice what just happened, the $2,000,000 earner's tax burden declined while the $20,000 earner now has a tax increase. That's Robin Hood in reverse and is exactly why the flat-tax system is supported by the ultra-rich, they expect it to lower their taxes and shift it to everyone else.

What about a flat tax instituted after a certain income level?

Say $100,000. How would you feel about that? Below said income level-- no flat tax.
