That's why Mississippi and Alabama and West Virginia, and Oklahoma are such power house States.

Why should someone else pay for your college education? Give us a reason.

Yeah, I see Greece on that list. They educated themselves straight into insolvency. Well done!

Your explanation is as learned as that fellow on the video! Are you from the south?

Because having a workforce more educated raises the standard of living for everyone.

Ironically, most of the places on your wiki list are free to only the top % that qualify....which surely wouldn't include that fellow.

Your list also includes Greece, which is getting ready to cut the program since they can't afford it.

In short, those countries are much like the US where the top % here get scholarships and so forth.

You could add the US to that list as we have as much "free" secondary education as a number of those listed countries.

Well of course you see one Nation that's going through hardtimes now.

You don't know enough to know that the point of the list is it be taken as a whole to give you a general idea of countries that do this.

Because the kid wants to spend 7 years getting his aroma therapy degree from a private school while backpacking europe in the summer, smokin' pot and getting laid.

He doesn't want to be like me and get a real degree from a public school in 4 years, working 70hours a week during the summer in craphole small towns across the midwest to help pay for it....and then actually *gasp* paying off my student loans.

I'd love to have someone pay off my loans. But I chose to accrue them...it's my responsibility to pay them off.

Can't we just print off a million dollars for everyone so we are all rich?
