Same old "Love it or Leave it" nonsense that's been around since the 1920's when we actually shipped Communists to the Soviet Union. Corporate Greed has taken over America and is endangering our Democracy, but it isn't just America. In South Korea Auto Workers are in the streets because this latest pact allows hyundai to continue building cars in NORTH KOREA.

I would take my family there in a heartbeat.
If you want that cradle to grave care so badly and it might take a bit more time to get to here, why aren't you actively looking into emigration to Norway?

Will you be joining Padcrasher in he coming emigration to Norway? Are you looking into getting that done instead of just whining on a forum looking for ways to get it done?

Did you fail to see the words in the OP about what the taxes on a new car are in Norway. Just learn the price of a car and double it and you have the final cost of owning so you can pay the $9.00 per gallon tax on gasoline. Oh my, what a place!!!

Are your kids boys or girls? It may be a great place if they are all boys.

You know the difference right?

One doesn't matter....one does.

You of course are harping on the one that doesn't matter.
Tell that to the team of accountants. I have a feeling they'd disagree.

No. They'll be just like most liberals and flood the immigration website and then get shot down because they don't have the skills. Happens with Canada every time a Republican wins the presidency.

I also wonder, and frequently ask, why nobody ever admonishes countries like Cuba, North Korea, Peru, Burma, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Serbia, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Mexico, Egypt, Argentina, China, Chad, Albania, Pakistan, or any of the other numerous basket cases to emulate Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and maybe even Estonia?

Nobody can ever answer that. Care to try?
They're wrong because the world, barring any major disasters like giant sun-flares or an EMP attack, will look just like America given about 100 years. It will be fully integrated and much closer to the equilibrium. The homogenous safe in a corner with high walls mindset will be eradicated.

I had hoped that the American population would stabilize around 270 million or so. That would have improved the wages of American workers at a small cost to our own aristocrats.

As an aside I would like to say Scandinavian women are certainly very attractive. Fortunately we have a domestic supply. Most live in Minnesota near Lake Wobegon.
Ah yes, Lake Wobegon, there are so many Scandinavians there that "all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average."
