It was to end WWII in Europe and Pacific and it did. Obama doesn't seem to know history.

Blah blah blah blah blah

If he had really apologized, he's the real man and the only "man" to have taken the white house so far.

Hundreds of thousands of Japanese people mass murdered is not a joke. It's a crime unto civilization and human life

Kudos to Obama.

Oh, what's happened has happened. Can't change that and there's some merit to the fact that it ended the war.

But what is wrong in apologizing for the biggest scale of human suffering perpetrated for a "just" cause alright.

An apology is an act of civilization.

Massacre? You want to talk about massacres and huge scales of human suffering???

Lets talk about what the Japanese did in the Chinese city of Nanking:

Quote:
On the same day, December 13th, 1937, Nanking fell to the Japanese. In the next six weeks, the Japanese committed the infamous Nanking Massacre, or the Rape of Nanking, during which an estimated 300,000 Chinese soldiers and civilians were killed, and 20,000 women were raped.
Nanjing Massacre and the Tokyo War Crimes Trial

That, my friend is human suffering....

Quote:
Numerous atrocities occurred within and around the city, and the victims were largely civilians. d exercised Japanese soldiers invented aninhumane and barbaric methods of killing. The brutalities included shooting, stabbing, cutting open the abdomen, excavating the heart, decapitation (beheading), drowning, burning, punching the body and the eyes with an awl, and even castration or punching through the vagina.
On another occasion Chinese civilians were trying to escape the Japanese soldiers across the Yangtze river but there was no transport available and the Japanese soldiers killed over 50,000 civilians.

The President at the time made the only choice available to him to stop the slaughter of American troops and in doing so saved hundreds of thousands of American lives and naval ships.

It had to be done, there was no way out, at least the Nagasaki bomb missed it's designated target

We dropped two bombs to end the war, if we hadn't upwards of 300,000 American troops were projected to die in the first assault on the home islands.

Apologies Not Accepted - Investors.com

So Japan raids Pearl Harbor, Kills Americans and proceeds to war... We warn them to stop, they don't and we drop a nuke... They still don't stop the killing so we warn them again.. they don't stop and we nuke them again... Finally, they stop the killing.

We are to apologize for that? You have got to be $hitting me??

If you read the story we see that he calls a terrorist's family to say he was sorry... A freaking terrorist, you know, the ones that will kill you, your kids, wife, mother anyone who doesn't agree with his religious views... The ones that cut your head off with a dull blade and film it for all the world to see..

This guys is a complete and total moron.. 2012 can't come soon enough...
Obviously the dignity and integrity that this man stands for is lost on a segment of this nation, a segment comprised of bigots, neanderthals, right-wing religious zealots, morons, grunts, and Sarah Palin supporters. President Obama represents the best chance this country has of not completely dumbing down after 8 horrific years of George Bush's shameful presidency. Honorable move by the President. He is a man of substance, compassion, depth, integrity, class, dignity, and incredible awareness. President Obama is yet another ever-present symbol of the extraordinary potential and talent of black men.

Way to eliminate yourself from serious consideration in future discussions.

It is beyond comical that two time Bush voters call Obama "embarrassing", how clueless are these people?
